Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert does NOT condone people putting found/loose dogs in a stranger’s yard! 

Please DO NOT put a found dog in strangers yard. If you spot a dog on the loose and can’t bring it home, please call 311 right away.

Do you realize that by putting a found dog in a stranger’s yard, you are putting people and pets in danger.

You don’t know if they have a dog that does not get along with other dogs. Or the dog you found does not get along with other dogs and the owner put their dog outside not knowing there is a strange dog in their yard. The other dog attacks the owner’s pet and that pet gets badly hurt.

What if this dog you found does not like kids and the kids from that home goes out to play and gets attacked by this strange dog you left in their yard.

Please think before you put others in danger.
